The Social Democratic Party (SDP), on Thursday, adopted the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Muhammadu Buhari, as its consensus candidate ahead of February 16, presidential poll.

The party’s National Executive Council (NEC), however explained that the adoption did not portend merger with the APC.

This is even as NEC suspended its National Publicity Secretary, Alfa Muhammad, for indulging in anti-party activities.
