Nasiru Baballe-Ila has been appointed as President Muhammadu Buhari’s Senior Special Assistant on National Assembly Matters (House of Representatives).
Garba Shehu, Buhari’s Senior Special Assistant for Media and Publicity, revealed the news in a statement obtained by Track News on Sunday.
Ila, a graduate of Victory College in Alexandria and West London College in the United Kingdom (UK), is a businessman who previously worked in haulage, ginnery, and tannery before entering politics.
He is a Chartered Member of the Nigerian Association of National Accountants (ANAN).
He was elected to the National Assembly’s lower chamber in 2011 and 2015, representing the Tarauni Federal Constituency in Kano.
Ila takes over for Umar Ibrahim el-Yakub, who was appointed Minister by President Buhari.
