Buhari Expresses Sadness Over Izuwah’s Death

The Director-General of the Infrastructure Concession Regulatory Commission, ICRC, Chidi Izuwah, is dead.

The deceased who was an Engineer and Management executive, rose to the position of DG in 2019.

President Muhammadu Buhari in a statement released on Tuesday, expressed sadness over the death of Izuwah.

Buhari commended Izuwah who held several positions in the oil and gas sector before joining the public service in 2009.

“Izuwah was reform oriented and highly skilled, playing very important roles in advancing infrastructure financing in Nigeria with special emphasis on Public-Private Partnerships (PPP). He will be missed,” he noted.

Buhari said his thoughts and prayers are with the family, the government and people of Abia State as they mourn the demise of the great man.

Meanwhile, President Buhari on Tuesday approved the appointment of Dr Oyebode Oyetunde as Executive Director for Nigeria at the African Development Bank in Abidjan, Cote D’Ivoire.

The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, confirmed the development in a statement titled “President Buhari approves appointment of Dr Oyebode Oyetunde as Executive Director for Nigeria at AfDB.”
