Nigerian Investor Challenges Over 500 Youths On Developing, Growing Business Ideas

LAGOS – Ayodeji Rasaq, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Red for Africa group has advised Nigerian youths to focus on developing and growing business ideas.

Rasaq stated this at the just concluded Stability and Sustenance Business Summit held in Abuja while speaking to over 500 participants at the summit.

Rasaq who was one of the Guest Speakers at the event, said that it was important for the youth to nurture business mindsets, particularly in this era where employment opportunities were dwindling.

According to the Red for Africa Group CEO, it was important for Nigerian youths to understand the process and practical journeys of business ideation, establishment, growth and eventual expansion.

He also canvassed for prudence among young entrepreneurs in order to be successful in business.

He said: “I once began business with a friend’s idle car on a ride hailing platform and in less than six months, I had about seven vehicles that I was managing on the platform, creating passive income and employing other people to as well be part of the business as a result of eventual expansion.

“The secret most times is not having enough money to start a business, but the ability to manage available monies at the particular time. As an entrepreneur, you have to be exceptionally prudent on your expenses, ploughing back profits and excesses into the business rather than spending on frivolous lifestyle.”

In the same vein, Deraspeaks, a spoken-word minister motivated youths at the event to never give up on their dreams while performing a captivating number on stage the Abuja International Conference Centre, venue of the summit.

Melody Fidel, an entrepreneur-missionary and founder of the Stability and Sustenance Business Summit, stated that the overall project, which currently is mentoring over 10,000 start-ups and disbursing grants to more than 100 would continue to support Nigerian youths with relevant skills and knowledge of business entrepreneurship, growth and expansion.
