A director at the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), Olalekan Onikoyi, who was recently accused of ordering his house-help to unleash domestic dogs on his wife, Mrs. Emily Onikoyi, has described the allegation as baseless, unrealistic and spurious.

Onikoyi, in a statement, yesterday, said the allegation was intended to destroy the good name he claims to have built for over 30 years.

He said: “It is true that we have been having issues in our marriage and as a matter of fact, I have filed for a divorce, which is yet to be resolved by the court.

“On the night of November 30, 2022, my Personal Assistant (PA), Clifford released the dogs from their cage at about 7:24p.m., which has been a normal practice for over two years for security, after every member of the house must have entered. Unknown to him, my wife had gone out again.

“I was having dinner when I heard a sudden cry for help, I rushed downstairs and noticed that the dogs had bitten my wife, I immediately rushed her to the nearest hospital while putting on a singlet.

“On December 4, 2022, Emily’s son, Darlington Eguriase, brought an unidentified man in military uniform to the house to attack Clifford by stabbing him until he found a way to escape and locked himself in a room while covered in blood.”
