TRACKING>>Chairman, youth wing of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in the South, Green Nnabugwu, has said CAN will no longer tolerate religious leaders who make prophecies capable of inciting people or breaching the peace.

Speaking to newsmen shortly after the 20th leaders’ summit in Owerri, Imo State yesterday, Nnabugwu said men of God ought to apply wisdom and utmost discretion in their duties on the pulpit.

He said most of the ‘supposed’ religious leaders have derailed in their calling and indulged in propagating partisan sentiments, which according to him, has impacted negatively on society.

“In the case of Father Mbaka and Imo State, it is even contentious for him to discuss an issue that is in court. Some of these prophecies are capable of breaching the peace.”

“Because people can start fighting and killing themselves before such prophecies manifest,” he stated.
