Carabao Cup: Guardiola reveals Haaland injury worry ahead of Chelsea clash

Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola, has confirmed Erling Haaland has ligament damage.

This makes the 22-year-old a doubt for City’s remaining fixtures before the 2022 World Cup.

Haaland picked up a foot injury in the 0-0 draw against Borussia Dortmund in October and was forced to miss the games against Sevilla and Leicester.

However, he scored the winner on his comeback against Fulham at the Etihad on Saturday.

Although Haaland played in City’s most recent fixture, Guardiola says he is still nursing his foot complaint and faces a fitness test, ahead of fixtures against Chelsea in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday and Brentford in the Premier League on Saturday
