When the heart doesn’t pump well, there is a sudden drop in blood flow. This is called cardiac arrest, according to Wikipedia. In reality, the chances of surviving a heart attack are very low. Even with a lot of resuscitations.

There are a lot of medical conditions that can cause it. People with hypertension are more likely to have a heart attack. It can also be caused by heart disease. Obesity, high cholesterol, fibrosis, coronary artery disease, a lot of blood loss, and other heart-related illnesses are all things to think about.

Obesity can happen when a person who is healthy gains a lot of weight because they eat a lot of fat. Putting their heart at risk would be a bad idea. People who eat too much of these four things could have a heart attack.

1. Salt that is too much:

To Nigerians, salt is an important ingredient in making food. A piece of food without salt is like fish without water. Salt, on the other hand, should not be taken in too much for the benefit of the heart and overall health.

Raw salt is the most dangerous thing to do. Taking in too much salt makes blood vessels weaken or become blocked, which causes high blood pressure. Because high blood pressure can lead to heart failure, it’s clear that cutting back on salt intake is an important step in protecting the heart.

2. Drinking too much alcohol.

It’s bad for your heart if you drink too much alcohol, or “ogogoro,” as Nigerians call it. On a general level, drinking too much alcohol can be very bad for your body. It weakens the immune system, and it also causes problems with the kidneys, liver, and heart, so it’s not good for people.

People who drink alcohol weaken and damage their heart muscles and blood vessels. Because the heart isn’t able to do its normal job, it gets tired very quickly.

According to research, anyone who struggles with alcoholism has a high risk of the cardiac arrest later in life. Please try to limit your alcohol consumption or avoid it entirely if at all possible.

3. Smoking a cigarette and tobacco

The heart isn’t going to like it if you smoke cigarettes, tobacco, or anything else that’s been smoked. A dangerous gas called carbon monoxide (CO) is released into the bloodstream when these chemicals are taken in.

When one consumes a cigarette, the heart has a hard time pumping enough blood, and the carbon monoxide reacts with the oxygen to form an extremely toxic gas, which weakens the heart. Blood vessels and heart muscles also start to break down.

Around the world, about 80% of smokers have one or more heart problems. At the end of the day, someone will die of heart failure. By not smoking, you can avoid having a heart attack.
