Daniel Igali express heartfelt appreciate to the good people of Bayelsa and the whole Niger Delta for the prayers and support accorded the Bayelsa-born Blessing Oborududu which aided her to win a silver medal yesterday at the Olympics.
We acknowledged that the feat wouldn’t have been achieved without your encouragement and support in the place and therefore prayed that all the support you have given would be replicated to you in their times of your needs.
We also use the medium to congratulate Blessing Oborodudu for clinching the silver medal despite sustaining a knee injury during competition.
We are indeed proud of you for your gallantry at the Olympics. You are a perfect role model as well as a source of inspiration to not only women but every other athletes in the State and country at large.
We call on the girl child, sports women and men to be motivated through this feat to strive for mastery in their pursuit to achieving excellence and greatness which is possible as evidenced in the scaling of Blessing Oborodudu to the world stage and international repute.
