Champions League: Three Liverpool players under attack

he club’s players, Virgil van Dijk, Mohamed Salah and Trent Alexander-Arnold following the club’s Champions League round of 16 first-leg 5-2 defeat to Real Madrid on Tuesday.

Enrique said Salah and Van Dijk were completely off against Real Madrid, while Alexander-Arnold has been playing badly so far this season for Liverpool.

He also criticized Liverpool for selling Sadio Mane and signing the likes of Darwin Nunez and Cody Gakpo.

Speaking to talkSPORT, Enrique said: “I don’t think it is one problem, first of all I think some of the players want everything, my honest opinion – the biggest one – is that they did not really buy the players that they needed.

“You cannot let Sadio Mane [go], then buy Darwin and Gakpo – players that still need to be made in the Premier League, they have been OK, but they are not Mane.

“Salah as well, he looks off completely, Van Dijk looks off completely, Trent has been really bad this season as well
