Champions League: What Tuchel said about Lampard’s return to Chelsea

Bayern Munich manager, Thomas Tuchel has said he will no longer comment on Chelsea’s decisions.

Tuchel was responding to questions about the Blues bringing back Frank Lampard on an interim basis.

The 49-year-old is back in the UK ahead of their quarter-final first-leg clash with Manchester City on Tuesday at the Etihad Stadium.

Tuchel was sacked by Chelsea in September, but replaced Julian Nagelsmann at Bayern last month.

Chelsea, meanwhile, are onto their fourth coach this campaign after axing Graham Potter. Lampard took over from previous interim coach Bruno Saltor, while a thorough search for a new, permanent manager takes place.

When asked for his reaction to Lampard being brought back to the club, Tuchel shook his head and replied: “No.

“No, no, no. No more Chelsea decisions. I’m wearing a different shirt and I will not comment. Sorry.”
