The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has invited Nigerian referee, Joseph Odey Ogabor, for a preparatory course ahead of the 2023 African Nations Championship (CHAN).

Ogabor is the only Nigerian, who made the list released by CAF on Thursday.

The list consisted of 24 referees, 25 assistant referees, four video assistant referees, six instructors and two CAF staff.

The training will run from November 17 to November 22 in Cairo, Egypt.

Nigeria’s home-based Super Eagles failed to qualify for the competition losing out to eternal rivals, Ghana.

Algeria will host CHAN 2023 from January 13 to February 4.
