Former Manchester United midfielder, Owen Hargreaves, has predicted victory for Chelsea in their Champions League last 16 tie against Atlético Madrid on Wednesday.
Hargreaves said that even though Atlético Madrid are not a team to write off at this point of the competition, Chelsea stand a better chance of progressing.
Chelsea have not tasted defeat since January when Thomas Tuchel took over from Frank Lampard and got a 1-0 lead after Olivier Giroud’s spectacular winner in the first leg.
They have also not conceded a single goal in their past five matches.
Hargreaves believes that the Thomas Tuchel’s experience of guiding PSG to last season’s Champions League final could also prove valuable.
“I think he got that PSG team to the final. Pep spoke about experience, you see with Real… that experience at this level is essential,” said Hargreaves.
“Simeone has got it. Tuchel has got it. I just think Chelsea are the inform team right now.”
