TRACKING____Chief T.K. Ogoriba, an elder statesman, has commended the efforts of Bright Igrubia, an aspirant for the office of the spokesman in the Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) Worldwide elections, in trying to curb the spread of COVID-19 in the state.
The elder statesman, who gave the commendation when Igrubia paid him and other leaders of the zone a courtesy visit, stated that the young man has done well by the distribution of face mask in other to prevent the spread of the virus (Covid-19).
The train had earlier paid a courtesy call to Mr. Lawson Hayford, General Manager, Peoples’ 93.1 FM.
While receiving the face mask from his visitors, the General Manager who was impressed by this gesture expressed gratitude for donations saying the import of the campaign for the eradication or limitation of the virus is more on the journalists.
He added that the Ijaw nation has been neglected for long and urged the IYC and INC to forget internal bickering and infighting amongst them and face the internal gang ups to oppress the suppressed Ijaw Race .
Mr. Bright Igrubia, the donor, stated that reason of their going round is basically for the sensitization of our people on the global pandemic ( Covid-19), that this time avails them the opportunity to celebrate Late Adaka Boro, their hero and using the traditional color of the Ijaw people to sensitize the people about COVID 19.
