Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, the President of the country, has forwarded a written address to the National Assembly which seeks for the screening and subsequent confirmation of Justice Olukayade Ariwoola to be the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN).
Recall our earlier report that Hon. Justice Ariwoola has been made the Acting CJN after the voluntary resignation of CJN Tanko who hinted on his health condition as at last month.

When finally confirmed by the Senate on Wednesday, Ariwoola thus becomes the third individual to occupy the top Judiciary job of the country in the life of this era.
Recall that Justice Walter Onnoghen also became the CJN under the President Buhari administration before he resigned from office.
Similarly, President Muhammadu Buhari has sent nineteen names to the Senate for screening and subsequent confirmation as Resident Electoral Commissioners for the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Track News Nigeria gathered that Buhari has also forwarded to the Senate for confirmation, four None Executive Directors of Board of Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN.
