COVID 19: Bayelsa State Vigilante Deploy officials to Ensure Lockdown Compliance

TRACKING______In line with Governor Douye Diri’s directive of 2 weeks lockdown to ensure that Bayelsa is safe from the covid 19 pandemics, the Bayelsa State Vigilante has moved into action to assist in ensuring that there is strict compliance from members of public in the ongoing lockdown issued by the state government.

The Acting Chairman of the State Vigilante Service, Hon. Doubiye Alagba, made this known on Thursday during his visit to the Patani, Kaiama entrance, Igbogene and Mbiama Toll Gate.

He further noted that the men of the vigilante service have been posted to the various vehicular entrance into the state to assist the government to ensure that there is strict compliance from members of the public.

The chairman also expressed confidence on the various steps taken by the administration of Senator Diri to ensure that the state is safe, which has also helped to see that Bayelsa is yet to record any case.

He said “My men will always be at all entrance checking point to assist the security agencies, health workers, Covid-19 enforcement taskforce and others to ensure strict compliance from the public forthwith.”

The vigilante boss also used the medium to thank His Excellency, Governor Douye Diri for his unrelentless measures taken to keep the state safe in this period.
