TRACKING______The member representing the good people of Mini Ikensi Oluasiri in Nembe Constituency 3 in the Bayelsa State House of Assembly Honorable Douglas Sampson distribute food items to his constituents to ameliorate the stay at home order given by the state government to curb the spread of the dreaded coronavirus disease in the state.
The Honorable Member over the weekend went on a sensitization and compliance of the government order to his Constituency where he was impressed with the level of discipline and comply by all churches and the entire members of his Constituency.
Looking at the means of livelihood of the Mini Ikensi Oluasiri people who are predominantly fishermen and farmers, the Honorable Member see to the level of diversification and hunger the stay at home order may have caused them and made the donation of the food items as support to encourage them.
In his word, I am aware of the level of hunger this stay at home order may have caused you but I advise it will be good for us to be in hunger for a short period to save our lives than to die of white man disease. I know these food items are not enough to curb the current hunger situation but onbehalf me and my wife I present these foods from the depth of our heart.
In appreciation the president of Agrisaba Youths Federation Ebinabo Jumbo on behalf of Ikensi and Oluasiri youths president thank Honorable Douglas Sampson for his kind gesture and promised to distribute the foods as directed to all the villages in the Constituency.
