COVID 19: SILGA CHAIRMAN INAUGURATES SPECIAL TASKFORCE

TRACKING____Inline with the Bayelsa State Government Directive to set up committees at the local government area level to educate and sensitize the general public on the global pandemic, Corona Virus (covic 19), the Executive Chairman of Southern Ijaw Local Government area, Chief (Hon) Kia Ebidoughebofa Nigeria, had a meeting with Environmental Health Officers, Traditional rulers, Security personals and other critical stakeholders from the LGA

The meeting afforded them the opportunity to chat the way forward on the need to provide adequate preventive measures in place in the fight against Covic 19, that is currently ravaging nation’s of the world today.

A committee was inaugurated to carry out the sensitization that will cut across all the communities in Southern Ijaw LGA in a bid to educate the citizenry on ways to prevent the spread of Coronavirus {Covid-19}.

In a statement, the SILGA boss, thanked the Traditional rulers, environmental health officers, security agents and others for their keen interest on the issue, he further stated that the sensitization program will go a long way in addressing pertinent issues of prevention and the safety of the people in local government area.

He further charged the committee to carry out thorough sensitization program in the local government area, he therefore directed traditional rulers to ensure that there shouldn’t be any gathering above fifty(50) persons in their various communities, he called on security agencies in the area to fully implement the directive to ensure the Local Government is totally free from the dreaded Virus.
