BREAKING: Suspected Bandits Kill Three In Fresh Kaduna Attack

Suspected bandits have killed at least three persons in Kaduna.

The incident happened at Gora Gida in Atyap Chiefdom of Zangon Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

It was learned the bandits invaded the town around 11:00pm on Sunday night, killing three people and injuring several others during the attack.

Confirming the attack to Daily Trust, the District Head of Gora, Elias Gora, said a woman also sustained gunshot injuries and one car was set ablaze.

According to Gora, two of those killed were a father and his son, lamenting the incessant insecurity bedevilling the area.

As of the time of filing this report, the state Police Command has yet to issue a statement on the latest killings in Southern Kaduna.

Meanwhile, at least five people were reportedly killed, while five others were injured on Sunday during an attack on Madamai community in the Kaura Local Government Area of Kaduna State Sunday.

It was gathered that the attackers invaded their community in large numbers around 5:00 am and started shooting sporadically.

Confirming the incident, Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, said five people were killed, and nine houses and three vehicles were burnt by the attackers.

Aruwan identified the deceased persons as Janet Yakubu, Gambk Yakubu, Jonathan Adamu, Mrs Monday, and Humphrey Barnabas.

He noted that five victims that sustained different kinds of injuries from the attack were identified as Emmanuel Nache, Ibrahim Ishaya, Joyce Moses, Linda Moses, and Rejoice Monday.

The commissioner revealed that the victims are receiving treatment at Sir Kashim Ibrahim Yakowa Memorial Hospital, Kafanchan.

He said the Acting Governor of Kaduna State, Hajiya Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe, has appealed to residents to remain calm, and directed security agencies to conduct thorough investigations into the incident.
