A video, which went viral on social media, depicting a young man clad in a blue T-shirt, black joggers trousers, and blue palm slippers brandishing an AK-47 rifle and threatening residents, has sparked an investigation by Commissioner of Police, Edo State Command, CP Funsho Adegboye..
Following a discreet inquiry, police operatives apprehended the individual, identified as Police Constable Prince Chima, attached to the Department of Operatives (DOPs). PC Prince Chima, enrolled on January 10, 2020, and trained at the Police Training School Ogida, Benin City, admitted to his involvement during interrogation.

Chima recounted an altercation at NIPCO Petrol Station along Siluko Road, Benin City, where a patron insulted him, triggering his subsequent actions at the individual’s residence.
In response, CP Adegboye has ordered the Assistant Commissioner of Police to lead an investigation into Chima’s conduct, including assessing his mental health status. Chima will face disciplinary proceedings, known as an Orderly Room Trial.
While commending the residents for their patience and handling of the situation, CP Adegboye assured that Chima will be held accountable for his actions
