Police recover stolen vehicle, arrest suspect in Jigawa
The Jigawa State Police Command has arrested one Mahmud Adam, 43, in connection with a car theft, and recovered a stolen SUV in Gwaram Local Government Area of the state.
DSP Shiisu Adam, the command’s spokesman, announced on Sunday, June 16, that the suspect was arrested on Saturday, June 15.
According to Shiisu, the arrest followed a report of a stolen Honda CRV with registration number DKD 10 AG, belonging to Abba Yahya from Gano town, Dawakin Kudu LGA of Kano State.
He said the vehicle was reportedly en route to Maiduguri, Borno State.
He stated that the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Gwaram and his team intercepted the SUV on the Sara-Darazo road.
SHiisu said the suspect and the recovered vehicle have since been handed over to the Kano State Police Command for further investigation.
