CULTISM WILL BE ERADICATED COMPLETELY FROM AMASSOMA COMMUNITY – HON. FELIX

TRACKING____ The Honourable Member representing Southern Ijaw Constituency 1 in the Bayelsa State House of Assembly, Hon. Felix E. Bonny Ayah in a crucial meeting with the Amassoma Youth President, Chairman of Amassoma Community Development Committee(CDC), Vigilante Commander and former Youth President, express his displeasure over the recent violent clashes by cult groups that has led to one being killed and several others sustaining different degrees of injuries.

The proactive Lawmaker, who is security conscious and is very passionate at curbing and eradicating this social menace imformed the Community Stakeholders of his plans to support and boost the local security structure – Vigilante groups and to formally launch ‘Operation Wipeout Cultism from Amassoma Community”.

In a statement made available to TrackNews by his special adviser on media and publicity Mr. Enikioubi Ebipamene said, the law maker advised that there is every need to create collaborative synergy with the various security agencies to produce effective and efficient results. He also assured them of his commitment to wipeout cultism from Amassoma Community, stating that Amassoma Community will be one of the most peaceful Communities in Bayelsa State.

He further stated that there is an existing law passed by the Bayelsa State House of Assembly that anyone guilty of cultism will be sentenced to 20 years of imprisonment. Therefore, anyone caught involved in cultism will be prosecuted according to the law.

Highlight of the meeting was when an agreement was reached to banish cultists from the Community from henceforth.
