Controversial media personality, Daddy Freeze has called out Pastor David Ibiyeomie for claiming that failure to pay tithe is criminal and attracts curses.

Daddy freeze took to his Instagram account to inform the clergyman that his claims were untrue and not doctrinal.

He explained further that it was not a rare incident for disciples of Christ in the bible to call themselves out on teachings of wrong doctrines and he went on to cite Paul and Barnabas as examples of biblical characters who argued over some doctrines.

He implored the general overseer to join him in a public doctrinal debate so they could air their views and allow the public decide on what is truly right.

He wrote: “Dear Pastor David Ibiyomie.

“I greet you and I bring glad tidings.

“I saw the above statement on the blogs. I am aware that blogs misquote people from time to time as I have been a victim myself, so if you didn’t make the above statement kindly make this known for clarity.

“However, if you did make the statement, I hereby invite you to a public doctrinal debate on tithing and why it is NOT for Christians, from my scriptural perspective.

“Instances of debates and contrasting views were not uncommon in the early church, as the book of Acts chapter 15 tells us of the vehement argument Paul and Barnabas had with the teachers from Judea, over the circumcision doctrine, which led to them going to the church in Jerusalem, where this disagreement was finally resolved.

“Another instance can be found in Galatians Chapter 2, where Paul disagreed with Peter publicly, over a similar doctrinal issue.

“I would love to host you for this debate online, where your views can be aired alongside mine and the public would be left to decide which persuasion they consider superior.

“Do find below scriptures that support my belief that doctrinal matters should be debated and that disagreements may occur in the body of Christ over doctrinal matters.

“Acts 15: New Living Translation

[1] While Paul and Barnabas were at Antioch of Syria, some men from Judea arrived and began to teach the believers: “Unless you are circumcised as required by the law of Moses, you cannot be saved.” [2] Paul and Barnabas disagreed with them, arguing vehemently. Finally, the church decided to send Paul and Barnabas to Jerusalem, accompanied by some local believers, to talk to the apostles and elders about this question.

“Galatians 2:11 .New Living Translation

“But when Peter came to Antioch, I had to oppose him to his face, for what he did was very wrong. Do have yourself a blessed day.”
