Dani Alves, a departing 39-year-old veteran defender, has criticized Barcelona’s treatment of players who have made history with the club.
According to the Brazilian, the Catalan giants do not care about the players who have demonstrated dedication and commitment to the club.
Alves, a legendary football figure, stated that he would have preferred to be treated differently, but that he was pleased to return to the club last season.
Tijani, an ex-Golden Eaglets player, is out of the season due to a severe injury.
“The only thing I didn’t like was how they handled my farewell,” he told TrobalFootball.
Alves explained that when he returned for the second time, he informed the club that he was no longer a youngster and would not tolerate any secrecy, adding, “I wanted things to be done straight, without hiding things.”
“However, in recent years, this club has sinned.” Barcelona is uninterested in the people who have made history at the club. As a Cule [Barcelona fan], I’d like to see Barcelona do things differently.”
