The remains of Tunde Mark, son of ex-Senate President David Mark, have been laid to rest.

The body was interred at the family home in the Otukpo area of Benue State.

Tunde, 51, died on October 21, 2022, in a London hospital after battling cancer for over a year.

The funeral rites commenced on November 9, with the service of songs held in Abuja.

Tunde’s body was accompanied by family and friends to Otukpo for a wake on November 10.

Governor Samuel Ortom, his deputy Benson Abonu, Senate Minority Leader Philip Aduda, and Senator Abba Moro attended the burial.

Others were ex-Kogi governor Idris Wada, ex-Senators Suleman Adokwe and Lekan Mustapha, Bishop Michael Apochi of Otukpo Catholic Diocese and Rev Innocent Jooji, among others.

In his sermon, Most Rev. Fr. Sylvester Onmonke told the family to have faith in God as only Him can give and take life.

The late Tunde is survived by his wife, Natsu, daughter Audrey, parents, brothers and sisters
