Mrs. Jane Dolapo Balogun, Wizkid’s mother, received an emotional homage from Burna Boy at the Afronation Fest in Detroit, United States.

Following the announcement of Mrs. Balogun’s passing, numerous celebrities and notable figures have used social media to express their condolences to Wizkid and his family.

However, Burna Boy’s tribute stood out as he went beyond words. During his performance at the concert, Burna Boy paused his set, and asked the audience to observe a minute of silence in remembrance of Wizkid’s late mother.

Burna Boy then proceeded to sing a line from the song ‘Ginger,’ a collaboration between him and Wizkid.

The touching gesture displayed Burna Boy’s solidarity and support for his colleague during this difficult time.

The tribute added a poignant and heartfelt moment to the Afronation Fest, showcasing the deep bonds within the Nigerian music industry
