Ibekimi Oriamaja Reports

In response to the murder of four individuals yesterday along the Asaba-Onitsha freeway by the Okpanam junction, close to Asaba, the capital of Delta State, enraged youths took to the streets and set a car on fire.

The car accident occurred on Sunday night when a vehicle with two occupants collided with four individuals who were waiting to board a bus, according to information given to The Tracknews.

According to a source, the victims were waiting in line for a bus when a Toyota Camry ran off the road, crushing over six persons. Three men and a woman died at the scene, and other others were harmed. The drivers took off right away, but angry children set fire to the vehicle.

As of the time of publication, Mr. Udeme Esiet, the Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Delta State Command, had not responded to calls or SMS.

The state’s police public relations officer, Bright Edafe, admitted the incident.
