The Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has received a formal congratulatory message from Hon. Alapala Anthony Ebitonmo, a member of the Delta State House of Assembly representing Burutu State Constituency 1, in celebration of his 62nd birthday.

In the message, issued on behalf of the people of Burutu Constituency 1 and Deltans in general, Hon. Alapala expressed warm wishes to the governor and acknowledged his commitment to inclusive leadership and state development. The lawmaker praised the governor’s efforts under the MORE Agenda, describing him as a leader who has prioritized the interests of all ethnic groups and regions within Delta State.

Hon. Alapala described Governor Oborevwori as a “Pan-Deltan leader,” commending his emphasis on policies that aim to improve the lives of Deltans across both urban and rural areas. The MORE Agenda—focusing on Meaningful development, Opportunities for all, Realistic reforms, and Enhanced peace and security—was cited as a major framework that has driven progress under the current administration.

According to Hon. Alapala, communities within the Delta Ijaw region and other hard-to-reach rural parts of the state have seen significant improvements as a result of the governor’s initiatives. He noted that these projects have contributed to better infrastructure, increased development, and renewed confidence among previously underserved populations.

The lawmaker emphasized that Governor Oborevwori’s focus on equitable governance has led to meaningful changes across the state. He stated that the positive impact of the administration’s programs demonstrates a strong commitment to fairness and inclusion, which is earning the respect and appreciation of Deltans from all walks of life.

In the congratulatory message, Hon. Alapala offered prayers for the governor’s continued health, wisdom, and strength as he enters a new year of life. He expressed hope that Governor Oborevwori’s leadership would continue to bring unity and prosperity to Delta State.

Hon. Alapala reaffirmed his and his constituents’ support for the administration, stressing the importance of maintaining momentum in delivering people-centered projects. He expressed confidence in the governor’s ability to overcome the state’s challenges and fulfill his campaign promises, highlighting Oborevwori’s understanding of the unique needs of various communities.

Governor Oborevwori assumed office in May 2023 after winning the 2023 gubernatorial election. Since taking office, he has made infrastructure development, youth empowerment, healthcare, education, and state security top priorities. His approach to inclusive governance has been praised by various political actors and community leaders across the state.

His administration has particularly focused on bridging developmental gaps between urban centers and marginalized rural regions, with targeted efforts in transportation, education, and economic empowerment. This balanced strategy, observers say, has helped to reduce regional disparities and boost public trust in government.

As Governor Oborevwori marks his 62nd birthday, he continues to receive accolades from political stakeholders, public office holders, and ordinary citizens. Many of these tributes recognize his role in promoting stability and progress throughout Delta State.

The message from Hon. Alapala joins a series of goodwill statements pouring in from across the state, reflecting broad-based support for the governor’s policies and leadership style. The tone of the tributes suggests growing expectations for sustained development and inclusive governance as the Oborevwori administration enters its second year.

Hon. Alapala’s message serves as both a birthday greeting and a public endorsement of the governor’s leadership direction, underscoring the political solidarity among lawmakers and executive leaders in Delta State.
