Ibekimi Oriamaja Reports
Dino Melaye, a former senator from Kogi West, described how he felt humiliated following a treatment meted out to him at a hotel in a secret location.
According to Track News, Melaye posted about the incident on his Facebook page to inspire his fans to never give up even when they are ridiculed or humiliated.
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain claims that after entering a hotel and placing a dinner order, he felt uncomfortable when the servers began serving a group of men and women who had arrived earlier than him.
Melaye claimed that he felt mocked and left because he was unable to take it any longer, particularly given that he still had to wait and hear the women brag about how well-connected they were to everyone in the hotel.
He stated that after confronting the waiter, who clarified that the chief chef was preparing his lunch, he eventually calmed down and patiently waited.
He stated: “I entered a hotel and placed an order for food after reviewing the menu. A group of men and women entered and placed their orders after waiting for around 20 minutes. I’m shocked that these people got served first. I observed as they began to eat& laugh enthusiastically. One of them was even heard boasting about his connections to everyone at the hotel, which made me feel humiliated. I chose to depart. I phoned the waiter when I could bear it no longer.
“Yours is an unique request, being prepared by the top chef himself,” he stated gently. The top chefs are preoccupied with your order, Sir, thus the orders were hastily produced by students on attachment. They received first service as a result. Drink some juice while you wait, please. I took a deep breath and waited quietly.
“Shortly after, 6 waiters brought my meal. Unbeknownst to me, the hotel’s proprietor—who also happened to be a long-lost friend of mine—saw me enter and decided to surprise me. She transformed my basic meal into a gourmet one. The group seated at the opposite table was stunned. They were unable to stop gazing. All of a sudden, they were the ones muttering, wondering why they hadn’t received the same level of service and food.
Life is like that. Some people have eaten before you and are now laughing at you as they talk about how smarter, wiser, and better they are than you. They also boast about how well connected, fortunate, wealthy, and content they are in life. You put up with constant mockery and humiliation while wondering why it’s taking so long to succeed.
“Perhaps you have struggled with depression, severe mental anxiety, or suicidal thoughts. Be at ease! The creator of the world has seen you and does not want to see you treated to a meager dinner like those who are making fun of you. You have to wait a while since your food is exceptional. Preparation takes time. And only executive chefs cook them.
“Relax as you wait for your food. When the time comes, the laughing crowd will finally stop. God bless you.
