In the heat of the preparations for the just postponed general elections, a woman was caught with over five thousand Permanent Voters Card (PVCs). The unnamed woman was nabbed with the PVCs in Abia state.

She was arrested after the items were found in the booth of her car at a checkpoint.

Even though the reason for the woman being in possession of the items was not given, it is believed that this is part of a grand plan to distort the elections in the state.

It will be recalled that the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has been facing challenges of PVC over fire incidents.
