The Governorship candidate of the Labour Party in the March 18, 2023 elections in Enugu State, Barr Chijioke Edeoga, has congratulated a great son of the state, Dominic Asogwa, on his elevation as Deputy Comptroller General (DCG) of the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS).
Edeoga, in a press statement issued in Enugu, praised the virtues of hard work and dedication that has been exemplified by Asogwa in the discharge of his national duties, adding that his recent promotion bears evidence of his competence, character and capability.
Highlighting that employees of the NIS are like ambassadors and consular staff of embassies whose daily activities affect the relationships between Nigeria and other countries, Edeoga said rising to the second highest position in this critical agency of government could only have been achieved by a person who approached the task with patriotic zeal
