A COALITION of Delta Central political parties and concerned civil society groups have chosen Ogheneovo Edewor, the flagbear of the Young Peoples Party, as their preferred candidate for the Senatorial seat in the 2023 general election.

The groups praised Edewor’s sterling leadership qualities in a statement issued by the Vice Chairman, Market Women Association, Delta Central Chapter, Mrs Agness Okorodudu, Coordinator, Coalition of All Political Parties in Delta Central, Sunny Okoro, and others.

The groups argued that because the current Senator representing the district is not running for re-election, Edewor is the best candidate to fill his shoes.

“It is only prudent that Ogheneovo Edewor be elected to the Senate to provide exceptional leadership and advance the interests of the Urhobo Nation.”

” We want someone who will do our bidding rather than lord himself over us.” Someone who can identify with us as a people and will serve as a servant-leader.

“The time has come for all people of goodwill to rally behind the YPP candidate to represent our dreams and aspirations as a people, and we must do everything in our power to defend our votes,” the statement said.
