EKSU warns of impostors, denies VC’s involvement in contract scam

The management of Ekiti State University, EKSU, Ado-Ekiti, has denied allegations of a contract scam levelled against the Vice Chancellor, Professor Edward Olanipekun over the supply of laptops.
A news release by the Head of the Directorate of Information and Corporate Affairs, Mr Bode Olofinmuagun said one Dr. Sylvester is currently posing as the Vice Chancellor’s intermediary asking unsuspecting people to prepare and submit quotations to the Chairman, Ministry Tenders Board, Federal Ministry of Education, Abuja, for the supply of laptops worth N86 million.
In the release, Mr Olofinmuagun added: “that the action is obviously an attempt to dupe people and to drag the name our Vice Chancellor into a dubious business deal”.
He emphasized that the Vice Chancellor, Professor Edward Olanipekun does not have any relationship with the said Dr Sylvester.
She warned that anyone who transacts business with the said suspect does so at his or her own risk
