The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has apprehended five Nigerians for alleged currency counterfeiting.

EFCC Head of Media, Wilson Uwujaren, announced their arrest in a statement on Friday.

The suspects were caught with bundles of United States currency totalling $113,400.

They are Sule Sani, Abba Sulaiman, Abraham Amengwa James, Haruna Nahum Rabiu and Samson Koadam Paul.

The syndicate was busted at Wuse Zone 4, Abuja, following actionable intelligence the commission received.

“They will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded,” Uwujaren noted
