The administration of Governor Biodun Oyebanji has completed the rehabilitation of seven township roads in Ado Ekiti within his first 100 days in office.

The information was disclosed by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Works and Transport, Sunday Komolafe while monitoring the completed and ongoing rehabilitation work on roads across the metropolis.

According to Komolafe, the rehabilitated roads include Matthew Street, Mugbagba Street, Ijigbo Roundabout, Atikankan and Olukayode Stadium- Okuta Gbokutalori-Old Garage road. Others are Atikankan-Isato Oke-Sadiat Hotel road, Basiri Road, Adebayo Road and Oke Bola access road.

Mr Komolafe commended the efforts of the Ekiti State governor at making lives easy for commuters and other road users, saying the roads would go a long way to assist the populace in carrying out their day-to-day activities and reduce accidents.

He said the ministry was working round the clock to ensure that the contractors delivered to specification and live to expectation. He avowed that the present administration has zero tolerance for shoddy jobs, stressing that the ministry does not give room for the use of substandard materials and therefore the basis for close monitoring and supervision of the projects.

He further disclosed that some ongoing projects, including Agric Olope-Moferere-Odo Ado road, GRA 3rd Extension road, Oke Ila-Housing Corporation road, Oja Oba-Post Office-Palace road and Oladele Street at Awedele, are expected to be delivered soon
