TRACKING >>The Ekiti State Government has donated cash gifts to citizens of the state who had sought government’s support to offset their financial challenges.

The Chief of Staff to the Governor, Biodun Omoleye who addressed the beneficiaries at the governor’s office noted that the Dr Kayode Fayemi-led administration is keen on providing succour to the less privileged in the state.

Omoleye described the grants as an extension of love to the beneficiaries, adding that “the gesture is a demonstration that the present administration is attentive to the plight of the people.”

He assured that the Fayemi-led government would not fail in delivering the dividends of democracy to the citizenry.

“We understand the financial situations of some of our people and we have decided to assist them in that regard. These grants are provided majorly to support students who could not pay their tuitions, some aged ones who could not afford medical bills and to some whose businesses or petty trades need some sort of financing,” he said.

One of the beneficiaries, Adeoti Sunday, while commending the state government for the gesture said he needed the financial assistance to undergo surgery on his right hand.
