According to a news that was published by the Punch paper online this morning, it was reported that a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Plateau State, Samuel Kwamkur, on Sunday cautioned the former Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai, not to set Nigeria on fire with his utterances as regarding religion.

It was reported that Samuel Kwankur, who happens to be a former National Director of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, stated this at a press conference in Jos on Sunday, while he was reacting to the statements allegedly credited to the former Kaduna Governor of Kaduna State, in which El-Rufai told his audience before handing over to his successor that, the Islamic dominance in Kaduna State had been successfully replicated in Nigeria at large and that it shall continue in that manner.

Talking, Samuel kwamkur said, “Firstly, El-Rufai in his speech said he did not give Christians deputy because, we won’t vote him. He (El-Rufai) wondered why he should give them (Christians) a Deputy Governor when most of them cannot vote for him. That he calculated and discovered ‘we’ can win an election without ‘them’ hence why give ‘them’ a deputy ?”

Further talking, he said that From Nasir El-Rufai’s classification of the citizens of his state as ‘them’ versus ‘us’, people do not need no angel to tell them that, he (El-Rufai) cannot be exonerated from the wanton killings, demolition of houses and places of worship of Christians in Kaduna State.

He said, ” Secondly, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, went further to state that Islamic dominance of government in Nigeria will bring peace, Justice and fair play. He assured the gathering that he will sustain an Islamic-dominated government for 20 years and unending.”
