Students of the Lagos State have pledged to join Babajide Sanwo-Olu on the Walk of Peace proposed by the State governor.

Recall that Sanwo-Olu had in a press conference on Tuesday invited some youths in the state to join him in the “historic march for our dear Lagos.”

Those invited are Folarin Falana (Falz), Debo Adebayo (Mr Marcaroni), Dele Farotimi, Temitope Majekodunmi, Segun Awosanya (Segalink), Adedotun (Just Detoun), Seun Kuti, Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu and Commander of Rapid Response Squad (RRS), CSP Yinka Egbeyemi and others.

Some of the activists invited by the governor had, however, rejected the invitation stating their different reasons.

However, President of the Student Union Government, LASU, Comrade Oladipupo Uthman Badmus on Thursday, pledged on behalf of his fellow students to support the governor in the walk.

www.tracknews.ng understands that the SUG president showed interest in the walk when the Governor visited the school on earlier today.

Sanwo-Olu who commissioned a new students’ arcade at the school was welcomed by the SUG president, Speaker of the Students Union Representatives, Rt. Hon. Mustapha Adejuwon and hundreds of students.

The students who commended Sanwo-Olu’s giant strides in the state, especially in the education sector, said they will embark on the walk with the Governor for peace and prosperity of the state.

The Walk of Peace which, according to Sanwo-Olu, will “herald the healing of the land,” will likely have in attendance some notable members and activists of the EndSARS campaign.
