After dating her ex for eight years, the duo decided to exchange marital vows on January 15, 2014 in a private wedding ceremony at Lagos State High Court.
Toke reportedly got fed up with news of her ex-husband’s infidelity with another woman who he allegedly started dating about the same time.
The news that broke the camel’s back was Solomon’s pregnancy by Maje which ultimately led Makinwa to file for a divorce in March 2016.
Recollecting Maje’s cheating ways, the actress explained a certain time he was caught in the act, he didn’t apologise but told her to behave appropriately as the wife she was as the other was merely a girlfriend.
She claimed after hearing that from her ex-hubby, she consoled herself with the fact that she was the number one and let him carry on with his cheating acts in peace.
“That one time I caught my ex cheating on me, he said I was the wife and she’s only a girlfriend and I should act appropriately. I let him continue to cheat in peace as long as I was number 1,” Makinwa said.
