Why I rejected N20 Million Naira From A Politician – Skit-maker, Ashmusy
Nigerian skit-maker and Influencer, Amarachi Amusi alias Ashmusy has revealed why she rejected money from a politician meant for promotional work.
Ashmusy said that she got offers of 10 to 20 million naira to make a social media post in favour of a particular candidate vying for office but she declined even though there was temptation.
The comedienne said her decision was influenced by the thought that she will be selling her soul and ruining the country for her children, grandchildren and family members by promoting the wrong politician.
She also said that she is in support of the Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, and she hopes that if he wins, he will deliver on his promises.
Ashmusy wrote;
“Confession- I got offers of 10m to 20m for a (one) political post… (for the other candidate that we don’t want) It was tempting I won’t lie..
But realizing I’m gonna be selling my soul to the devil.. realizing My children, grandchildren, family, Loved ones will be in the country suffering!! Because I made the ST*pid decision to post/vote for the wrong person… I said a BIG NO! hopefully PETER OBI wins on Saturday.. and not just wins, but wins And does his job 100 percent.
God take full control this time abeg!!Because in this country, even the rich is suffering, how can I work so much to make money in naira, just for the naira to be dropping like pure water everyday, if you change it to pounds or dollars, you will just cry, please we are all tired, forget God abeg!”
