Former Manchester City defender, Micah Richards has slammed winger Antony following Manchester United’s Premier League 7-0 defeat to Liverpool.

Richards said Antony did not do his job against Liverpool, adding that he was left ‘confused’ by the Brazilian’s performance against Liverpool on Sunday.

“There was no communication between Dalot and Antony,” Richards told Match of the Day 2.

“At times, it was like they were playing with ten men because Antony wasn’t doing his work at all down that side.

“I don’t know if it was tactical, Antony’s positioning… I was confused at what he was doing.

“I don’t know if it was him being lazy or the manager told him to stay up for counter-attacks.

“If I am Dalot, I would be screaming at [Antony] to come and help me.”

A goal from Roberto Firmino and a brace each from Cody Gakpo, Darwin Nunez, and Mohamed Salah gave the Reds all three points against Erik ten Hag’s side at Anfield
