Former Manchester United striker, Michael Owen, has predicted some of this weekend’s Premier League fixtures.

Chelsea travel to Southampton in Saturday’s early kick-off, while Liverpool and Everton clash in a Merseyside Derby later in the day.

Owen expects the Reds who lost 3-1 to Leicester City last weekend, to bounce back with victory against their rivals.

“Incredibly, Liverpool come into the Merseyside Derby undefeated in their last 24 matches against Everton in all competitions at Anfield,” he told BetVictor.

“Unfortunately for Everton, I think they’ll have to wait a bit longer for that Anfield win. I’m siding with the Reds to shade it in what should be an entertaining derby.”

Owen also predicted that Chelsea will leave Southampton with a narrow 1-0 win, ensuring that Thomas Tuchel continues his unbeaten start to life at Stamford Bridge.
