Manchester United legend, Paul Scholes, has labelled Antony “ridiculous” for a spinning dribble that went nowhere, during their Europa League against Sheriff on Thursday.
With no one around him, Antony spun in a circle, drawing murmurs from the crowd.
But his subsequent pass out of play prompted a shake of the head from manager Erik ten Hag, who took him off at half-time.
Scholes, speaking on newsmen, said: “I don’t know what he’s doing.
“It’s ridiculous. It’s showboating.”
Diogo Dalot opened the scoring in the first half, before Marcus Rashford and Cristiano Ronaldo added more goals after the break.
United have now qualified from Group E, as the win took them to 12 points
