Ex-Militant Leader Hails Tinubu On First 100 Days In Office

A former militant leader in the Niger Delta, Ebikabowei Victor-Ben alias ‘General Boyloaf’, has congratulated President Bola Tinubu on his first 100 days in office, saying his administration has demonstrated the capacity to rescue and build a prosperous nation.

He also felicitated Tinubu on his legal victories at the Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal (PEPT) in a statement on Tuesday.

Victor Ben, an indigene of Southern Ijaw Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, called on the people of the region to support Tinubu as the policies of his administration would bring about empowerment, sustainable peace, and infrastructural development in the area.

He also appealed to Nigerians to cooperate with the government in its effort to reposition the socio-economic imbalance and launch the country into an era of reduced borrowing, economic advancement, and sustained infrastructural development.

He said he was optimistic that Tinubu was working hard to achieve food security, economic growth, job creation, access to capital, and improved security.

Victor-Ben stated that, unlike previous governments, the present administration had shown genuine commitment to resolving diplomatic conflicts between Nigeria and other countries, citing the lifting of the Visa ban earlier placed on Nigerians by the United Arab Emirates (UAE) as a remarkable example.

“The immediate action by the President showed a gradual and steady opening of Nigeria to the world in order to encourage speedy capital investment recovery and growth”, he said.

The former militant leader also commended Tinubu for the recent investment deal struck in India with Indorama Petrochemicals Limited, which pledged a new investment of $ 8 billion in the expansion of its production facility at Eleme, Rivers State.

Victor-Ben noted that huge investments by several Indian firms running into billions of dollars were expected in Nigeria’s power sector, manufacturing of defense equipment, digital solutions, and space communication, among others, as a result of Tinubu’s disposition to strike partnerships for the economic development of the nation during his recent visit to the Asian country.

He also lauded the steady and increasing security within the country, stressing that violent crimes and armed conflicts had been speedily reduced.

“It showed that the appointment of Nuhu Ribadu as National Security Adviser is a tactical one by the present administration.

“Security has improved more than before in all parts of the country. The rising peace in every region showed that President Bola Tinubu appointed the best from the best of Nigerians in positions of leadership”, Victor-Ben added.
