TRACKING_____In the course of our fight against the ongoing loot in the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) under the supervision of the Honourable Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Senator Godswill Akpabio, we have uncovered substantive evidence with the names and amounts paid to the 33 Companies Senator Godswill Akpabio and his cronies at the IMC used to make the fraudulent NDDC Lassa fever payments.

In a statement made available to TrackNews by the national coordinator Amb. Arerebo Salaco Yerinmene Snr siad, the payment spreadsheet in our situation room clearly show how the fraudulent payment of N8,143,681,044.56b (Eight billion, one hundred and forty-three million, six hundred and eighty-one thousand, forty-four Naira, fifty-six Kobo) was distributed amongst 33 companies, without mobilising to site or supplying any materials. These fraudulent payments were made in batches on the following dates; 11/11/2019, 11/12/2019, 08/01/2020 and 22/02/2019 respectively. The documents contain the Payment dates, Names of the 33 companies, Account numbers, Bank and TSA numbers for verification and tracing.

We are unequivocally stating without mincing words that we will not allow Senator Akpabio to retrogress the NDDC any further, even though we have one of our kinsmen, an Ijaw man as the Acting Managing Director of the Commission; Professor Kemebradikumo Pondei from Amassoma, Bayelsa State. Chief Akpabio thought he could silence us by appointing an Ijaw man as the acting MD, but we will like to remind him that “Izon” which stands for truth is bigger than any one Ijaw man.

Our focus is on the progress of the region and if any of our kinsmen decides to stand with the enemy of the region, we will not spare any of them in our fight for the truth. So, the fact we were one of the first people to celebrate the appointment of an Ijaw man as the Acting MD of the Commission will not stop us from exposing the Akapbio’s crimes or do everything within our power to stop those who are in cahoots with him to loot the money meant for development of the entire Niger Delta region.

We would like our brother Prof. Pondei and his boss Senator Godswill Akpabio to tell us when and where those Lassa Fever kits and other equipment were supplied? What state? What hospital? What community? Who received them? How can kits and equipment worth N8.1b be distributed across the Niger Delta and nobody saw or noticed anything? Senator Akpabio and his cronies are looting the NDDC with utmost cruelty and they must all go to jail. It is only fair that they are persecuted under the extant laws, return our stolen funds and serve the stipulated jail times.

We shall make sure it happens because we cannot continue to watch him crumble a Commission that was created after serious struggle that to assuage the pains and sufferings of our people.

We are giving Senator Akpabio and his gang of looters ten (10) days to go back to the Channels TV to vividly explain this scandal and clear the incertitude of Nigerians. We have already petitioned them on the Covid-19 N5.5b scandal via our human right lawyers and we will be doing same for this N8.1b Lassa Fever scandal through the appropriate quarters.
