Exclusive: WAEC Increases Examiners’ Fees

The West African Examination Council has announced that it has made a package to accelerate the money that accrued into the accounts of its examiners as they set to begin the marking of the 2022 paper scripts of the body.

A reliable source from Lagos State, put under anonymity, told Track News Nigeria that after some years, the body has put a small change on the fees that are paid to the school teachers that undertake the successful completions of the examinations.

The Chief Supervisor made this known on during the Coordination Programme of the member-teachers held at Auditorium Hall situated in the premises of Offa Grammar School, Offa in Kwara State.

He said: “It’s confirmed in a letter that I read”.

Meanwhile, he seized the medium to urge the staff of the need to rise against examination malpractices which is now rife in all centres in the country.
