TRACKING_____A foremost governorship aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Edo state, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, yesterday, explained that he wants to be governor to enable him impact on the people of the state through the provision of social amenities.

He stated this when a group, Safe Edo Movement met him to invite him to contest for the governorship of the state, declaring that as a successful farmer and businessman, the satisfaction level he would get impacting on the people can only come through deploying government resources to provide for the needs of the people.

Ize-Iyamu said in his era as secretary to the Edo state government, the Lucky Igbinedion administration employed over 4, 000 teachers many of who he said have retired from service with the result that many schools in the state now have one or two teachers following government’s failure to employ more teachers.
