BREAKING BAYELSA STATE PDP VICE CHAIRMAN RESIGN.
TRACKING >>The Chairman of the Bayelsa State Chapter of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Hon. Moses Cleopas and the State Working Committee has accepted the resignation letter of the Vice Chairman of the Party, Chief Sunny Goli who is earmarked serve as Chairman of SUBEB in the State.
Hon. Moses Cleopas who described Mr. Sunny Goli tenure and service to the Party and state as “meritorious and therefore, deserving commendation.” made the announcement after a State Working Committee meeting at the State Secretariat.
According to the Chairman of the Party “The name of our Vice Chairman of the Bayelsa Chapter of the PDP has been nominated for screening in anticipation to serve as Chairman of the State Universal Education Board. The constitution of the Party by this elevation forbids one to serve in dual position as stipulated. it’s on that note he has written to the Party of his intent to resign as Deputy Chairman of the Party, so he can be free to serve the state in that capacity”.
“The Party is expected to convey a State Executive Council(SEC) meeting on Monday who shall finally uphold the decision on the request for resignation by the Vice Chairman of the Party for it to stand lawful as enshrined in the Party’s constitution”
Hon. Cleopas who lauded Governor Dickson’s unflinching effort in giving positions of leadership to members of the leadership and members of the State PDP, noted that most of the Local Government and State Excos has been elevated to different positions of leadership in the state.
The He further plead with members of the PDP in the State to show more understanding, solidarity and a willingness to sacrifice for the general good of the Party.
