Breaking: Napoli Confirm Victor Osimhen Signing
TRACKING___Serie A giants, Napoli, have confirmed the signing of Super Eagles’ talismanic forward, Victor Osimhen from Lille for a fee reported to be around 50m.
The former Wolfsburg striker has been hugely impressive since joining the Ligue 1 side, scoring 18 league goals in the 2019/2020 season.

Victor Osimhen has been the target of several European giants in recent months, including Arsenal and Liverpool; now it appears the Naples based side have won the race to clinch his signature.
Osimhen’s signing comes as a huge boost to the Serie A side, who are looking to rebuild after having an underwhelming season in the 2019/2020, finishing 7th and managing a Europa league spot via winning the Coppa Italia trophy.
Commenting on Osimhen’s impressive performance in recent years, the Head of Nigerian Football, Amaju Pinnick hailed the 21 year old for his spectacular qualities which has helped him in his progress so far. Speaking in an interview last week, Pinnick said
“Osimhen is a source of pride for African football. He’s someone who is disciplined but focused on objectives, and if he wants something, he knows how to get it. He made the right decision for his career. I already believe he’ll receive the right support from the club and its fans
“Napoli is the right club for him to achieve important results, and Osimhen will always give his best. I’ll say it now: Victor will do everything possible to match and even break the records set by legends like Maradona
“I talked to Victor just a few minutes ago, he’s very excited about his new experience and new club. Napoli is a big name in world football. It’ll be a new challenge for him and he told me: President, I’ll make Naples proud”.
“If he gets the right support, I guarantee he’ll stick to his word and make you all proud. Believe in him and he’ll help the team achieve their objectives. I’ll come to Naples next season to watch some of their games. Osimhen is young and could stay at Napoli for a long time”.
Osimhen is Napoli’s first major signing as they look to rebuild for next season’s mundial.
