Edo cancels 10-day break for schools
The State Commissioner for Education, Mr Jimoh Ijegbai, in a statement in Benin on Tuesday, said schools had been asked to reopen following the postponement of the NSF.
According to him, public and private schools are to follow the original school calendar to the effect that the second term vacation would commence by April 3.
He noted that the third term resumption remained April 27 as originally scheduled.
According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), the break was initially scheduled to hold from March 22 to April 1.
The NSF was indefinitely postponed following the coronavirus outbreak across the world.
